Teens and their parents are invited to learn ways to enhance their academic performance with Surefire 4.0! Surefire 4.0 is an innovative workshop that incorporates brain and research based strategies that have been proven to help students enhance academic performance. The workshop includes hands-on practice and a discussion of the following: the Cornell Note-Taking Method; the 20, 30, 60 rule of memorization; learning styles and metacognition; effective learning strategies inside and outside of the classroom; maximizing your time to yield the greatest results. All adults (18+) must attend with a teen in grades 7-12.

Invitamos a los adolescentes y a sus padres a aprender maneras de mejorar su rendimiento académico con Surefire 4.0. Surefire 4.0 es un taller innovador que incorpora estrategias basadas en la investigación y el desarrollo cerebral que han demostrado ayudar a los estudiantes a mejorar su rendimiento académico. El taller incluye práctica y un debate sobre los siguientes temas: el método de apuntes de Cornell; la regla de memorización del 20, 30, 60; estilos de aprendizaje y metacognición; estrategias de aprendizaje efectivas dentro y fuera del aula; y cómo optimizar el tiempo para obtener los mejores resultados. The Finkelstein Memorial Library is a free public library founded in 1917, now serving 130,000 people in the East Ramapo Central School District of Rockland County, New York.
